3.1.1. General information
From mechanical KP install one-disk dry coupling with the slips which are not containing asbestos on the Opel cars and a two-mass flywheel. Control of coupling is exercised by means of a hydraulic actuator. Cars from automatic KP are equipped with hydraulic multidisk coupling.
In use coupling service as during its work, worn-out parts of slips are leveled is not required. Replacement of the conducted clutch plate needs to be made approximately through 100 000 km, however it in many respects depends on the car loading modes.
Depending on model of the engine and type of the transmission the design of coupling can change a little.
The flywheel is rigidly connected to a bent shaft of the engine. The two-mass flywheel by means of spring and damping system provides the maximum clearing of tortional fluctuations.
Conducted and press disks
The conducted disk is established on primary to a transmission shaft. On both sides to it slip priklepana.
Press the disk through a diaphragm spring and a casing of coupling is rigidly connected to a flywheel. Press the disk serves for pressing of the conducted disk to a flywheel. The surface of a press disk is processed by anticorrosive structure. When cleaning a press disk it is necessary to process only its working surface – so you prolong coupling service life.
Coupling switching off bearing
The bearing of switching off of coupling provides release of the conducted disk from the coupling conducting when pressing a pedal.
Possible malfunctions of coupling, their reason and ways of elimination
