1.7.7. Driving of the car with the automatic transmission
After launch of the engine before inclusion of transfer press a brake pedal. By the included transfer and the released brake the car begins the movement. Do not press at the same time a pedal of an accelerator and a brake at all.
In the mode D it is possible to go practically in any conditions.
At soft uniform squeezing of a pedal of an accelerator there is a timely gear shifting, providing economical fuel consumption. Manual switching is necessary only in exceptional cases. Choose the third, second or first transfers only if switching to higher transfers is undesirable, or when braking by the engine.
As soon as the road situation allows, again switch to the mode D.
Indication of the mode and the included transfer is displayed on the display.
Gear shifting lever (P, R modes and N)
Р – parking mode. In this mode of a wheel of the car are blocked. Include it only on the standing car and at the tightened parking brake. On the indicator of the transmission the symbol of River is displayed.
R – backing mode. Include it only on the standing car. On the indicator of the transmission the symbol R is displayed.
N – neutral situation or idling. On the indicator of the transmission the symbol N is displayed.
The lever of gear shifting can be switched from situation P only at the included ignition and the pressed brake pedal (blocking of the lever of gear shifting).
For inclusion of the modes of P or R press the button on the selector lever.
Launch of the engine is possible only in the provision of P or N. At launch of the engine in addition involve a pedal of the main brake in situation N or turn on the parking brake.
During gear shifting do not squeeze out a pedal of an accelerator.
Modes of the movement (D, 1, 2, 3 and 4)
Constant situation for normal conditions of driving – on transfers with the 1st on the 4th.
The transmission does not switch above the established step.
For inclusion of the 3rd or 1st transfer press the button on the selector lever.
On the indicator of the transmission position of the lever of gear shifting is displayed. In the mode D, besides, the transfer included at present is shown.
The driving modes with electronic control
At inclusion of the SPORT mode switching happens at higher turns (if the speed regulator is not switched on). On the indicator of the transmission the corresponding signaling device burns.
The mode of automatic switching in neutral situation for reduction of fuel consumption automatically installs the transmission in situation N, for example at a stop at the traffic light.
Automatic switching in neutral situation becomes more active in the following cases:
– the lever of gear shifting is in situation D, 3, 2 or 1;
– the pedal of a brake is pressed;
– the car stands still;
– the pedal of an accelerator is not pressed.
At an otpuskaniye of a brake and pressing of a pedal of an accelerator the car starts as usual.
The program of regulation of temperature after cold start automatically, thanks to a delay of switching to higher transfers (the raised turns) quickly brings the catalyst to temperature demanded for optimum reduction of emission of harmful substances in an exhaust.
The adaptive modes will automatically coordinate process of switching to other transfers with driving conditions, for example when driving with big loading or on rises.
Winter mode of driving
In case of difficulties at start-off from the place on the slippery road press a key of inclusion of the mode that can be made only in provisions P, R, N, D, 3 (on the indicator of the transmission the corresponding badge will light up).
The car will start on the 3rd transfer.
The winter mode of operation is switched off under following conditions:
– repeated zadeystviye of a key;
– switching manually to the 2nd or 1st transfers;
– switching off of ignition.
For protection against damage the winter mode of driving is automatically switched off at too high temperature of gearbox oil.
Compulsory decrease in transfer
By pressing a pedal of an accelerator resistance points are lower at a speed below a certain value the transmission will switch to a low gear. For acceleration use the full capacity of the engine.
Additional braking by the engine
For use of brake functions of the engine during descent in due time include steps 3, 2 or if that is demanded by a situation, 1.
Brake action at a step 1 is especially big. If the step 1 is included at too high speed, the transmission will continue to work at the 2nd transfer until, the point of transition to the 1st transfer, for example due to braking will not be reached yet.
For "pulling" of the car which got stuck in sand, dirt, snow or in a ditch at slightly pressed accelerator pedal alternately you translate the switching lever back and forth between provisions D and R. Keep the speed of the engine whenever possible low, avoid breakthroughs when pressing a pedal of an accelerator.
Apply the way described above only in the specified exceptional cases.
For exact maneuvering, for example at installation on the parking, arrival in a garage, etc., it is possible to use property of "slipping" at a brake pedal otpuskaniye.
Do not squeeze out a pedal of an accelerator and a brake at the same time at all.
The included step at a stop with the working engine can be kept.
At a stop on rises it is necessary to tighten surely the parking brake or to press a brake pedal. Do not hold the car by the included transfer due to increase in speed of the engine to avoid a transmission overheat.
At longer stops, for example in a stopper or on moving, switch off the engine.
Before an exit from the car at first turn on the parking brake, then – the mode P and take out the ignition key.
If not to take out the ignition key, then at a long time of the parking of the car there can be an accumulator discharge.
It is possible to take out a key, only when the lever of gear shifting is in situation P.
Interruption of power supply
At the discharged accumulator the lever of gear shifting does not switch from situation P.
In case of a discharge of the accumulator perform the procedure of auxiliary start-up.
If the reason consists not in an accumulator discharge, unblock the gear shifting lever.
1. Tighten the parking brake.
2. Exempt from clamps a gear shifting lever casing behind from the average console and wrap it up.
3. By means of the screw-driver press a stopper forward and bring the gear shifting lever out of situation P.
4. Insert a gear shifting lever casing into the average console and fix it.
At repeated inclusion of the mode P there is a blocking again. Remove the cause of interruption of power supply.
